We have a beautiful 12,000sf office in Washington, DC that is available for people to use whenever they want, and we regularly organize team meet-ups, events, and retreats in various locations. We’re looking to expand our team with diverse and collaborative doers who believe in our mission and the transformative power of affordable, high-quality education.

We are searching for an experienced brand designer who is ready to help the company define its overall brand and creative strategy. As the first design hire on the marketing team, you will help us envision how to use our brand to drive competitive differentiation, awareness, and engagement for both prospects and customers. You will help develop the GiveCampus brand strategy, create the company’s first style guide, and support the company as it creates a consistent visual brand identity across all channels. This role will report to the Vice President of Marketing, and will advise all teams company wide on how to best utilize the GiveCampus brand to achieve their specific goals.

As a Brand Designer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the strategy around creating a compelling and memorable brand for GiveCampus 
  • Supporting the creation of content and campaigns designed to build awareness, drive demand, and ultimately close new business
  • Being the company’s go-to design advisor on how to present a consistent brand identity across multiple channels and deliverables, including website, emails, infographics, eBooks, presentations, and collateral
  • Managing the design and functionality of the GiveCampus marketing website with an eye towards boosting engagement and new customer acquisition at every turn
  • Partnering with the Product team to ensure a consistent brand experience for customers from the marketing website to their experience within the GiveCampus platform
  • Advising the GiveCampus go-to-market teams on how to use our brand to drive ubiquitous awareness in the market
  • Working closely with Growth Marketing to optimize conversions through the website, digital advertising, social media, emails, landing pages, and more
  • Managing relationships and budgets associated with third-party vendors, agencies, and contractors

Key skills and attributes that may assist in your success:

  • A passion for working at a mission-driven organization to advance the quality, accessibility, and affordability of education
  • 5+ years of experience working at an agency or on an in-house marketing or creative team
  • The ability to advise cross-functional teams on how to best apply brand strategies to their work
  • Familiarity with marketing technologies including WordPress, marketing automation (HubSpot experience is a bonus), Google Analytics, and online conversion metrics and strategies
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize initiatives while managing expectations in a fast-paced — but always fun — environment
